Drawing Tools¶

Create and edit 2-D technical drawings: add projected/section/detail views, place dimensions, notes, and annotations, update title blocks and sheet formats, and run drafting standards checks.

Prerequisite: An active SolidWorks Drawing (.slddrw) document.

`create_drawing_view`¶

Create a drawing view of a SolidWorks model.

Prerequisite: SolidWorks running

Parameters:

Add a dimension to the current drawing.

Prerequisite: SolidWorks running

Parameters:

`update_title_block`¶

Update title block fields for the active drawing.

Prerequisite: SolidWorks running

`auto_center_marks`¶

Auto-insert centre marks on circular features in a drawing view. Runs SolidWorks' automatic centre-mark insertion for the named view. The API does not report how many marks it added, so the response gives the view's centre-mark count before and after and the delta — a run that added nothing is still a success.

Prerequisite: Active drawing containing the named view
