Prefab UI Validation Matrix (Button + Component Accounting)

Use this as the active reliability checklist while refactoring one slice at a time.

Scope

  • UI host: http://127.0.0.1:5175/
  • API host: http://127.0.0.1:8766/
  • Session baseline: prefab-dashboard (or explicit test session)

Current execution policy

  • Keep stable controls enabled.
  • Keep experimental orchestration controls hidden by default.
  • Fail loudly for missing model context instead of silently using wrong active SolidWorks windows.

Hard fail conditions (must block release)

  • Preview export captures the wrong model because attached model path is missing.
  • Attach model succeeds but feature tree table remains empty without visible remediation.
  • Button click produces no state change, no toast, and no error message.

Refactor sequence (one slice at a time)

  1. Preview/model path integrity (completed in current slice).
  2. Checkpoint execution strategy registry (replace large tool dispatch branching).
  3. Clarify/Inspect reliability and credential UX.
  4. Optional MCP bridge reconciliation for Prefab host deployment mode.
